One weekend last July, my family was in the very small community of Pecan Gap, Texas.  We went there because from what I can tell, my grandad, Hiram Eli Merrill was born there in 1864.  We found other Merrills buried there, none of which (as far as I know) are connected with my family.  They almost have to be connected, but I haven't figured out how as yet.  For your info, and possible publication in the Merrill Newsletter, I offer the following headstone readings, many of whom are infants.
