ftp://cedrcd.lbl.gov/CEDRCD/diskN (where N is an integer)Optionally, for efficiency, you can choose to make selected public data (including your own) available also through your own anonymous FTP server. To do so, you need only to mount (or automount) selected NFS-exported file systems into a location that is available to your anonymous FTP server.
The only difficulty is that the NFS file locations of data from other servers are subject to change without notice. For the combined CD-ROM Information System, the public file contents are described in
ftp://cedrcd.lbl.gov/data1/merrill/docs/cdrom/install/contents.online ftp://cedrcd.lbl.gov/data1/merrill/docs/cdrom/install/contents.offlineand the corresponding NFS file locations are described in
ftp://cedrcd.lbl.gov/data1/merrill/docs/cdrom/install/nfsloc.online ftp://cedrcd.lbl.gov/data1/merrill/docs/cdrom/install/nfsloc.offline
If you want your FTP server to be unaffected by changes in NFS file locations, you must copy some necessary files (similar to those above) from LBL every time they are updated, and arrange for your FTP server to use those files. LBL can arrange for the copying to be done automatically. For further information contact dwmerrill@lbl.gov.
