Accessing CD-ROM data via NFS

All CD-ROM data can be mounted directly on the user's workstation using the NFS (Network File Services) protocol. NFS is available for (at least) UNIX, MS-DOS, MS Windows, and Apple Macintoshes. Here we describe installation and use of NFS with:

MS-DOS: PC-NFS

MS-DOS: Novell NFS Client for LAN Workplace
MS-DOS: BW-NFS
Windows for Workgroups: XFS
Sun OS: normal (fixed) NFS mounting
Sun OS: automounting under amd
Sun OS: Sun's automounter
Macintosh
