"26", 2000-2011

Our beloved "26" was the last of our Shelburne Falls cats. He died rather suddenly of diabetes, on 9/14/2011. He was 11 years old.

"26" on 5 April 2011 in Asheville, just after his last "haircut".

"26" was a gift in December 2000 from Quinn Cusimano, who lived near us in Shelburne Falls. He was a welcome replacement for Laura's cat Pookie, who had died a few weeks earlier. "26" had a sister named "ABCD". Quinn, then 3, named both cats for the alphabet, which she had recently learned. Both "ABCD" and "26" traveled with us to Asheville in July 2006.
