  1. about 1880: William Tinsley (1805-1883), age about 75. William was a painter, and did oil paintings of his young daughter Eliza Jane Tinsley (1837-1842) and his infant grandson Frederick William Tinsley (1859-1861). The paintings are owned today by William's great-great-grandson JAM (1945-).
  2. Thanksgiving 1966. 317 North Ridgewood Rd, South Orange NJ.

    In the background are two portraits painted by William Tinsley (1805-1883).
    (1) The portrait above Harriet is the artist's wife Hannah Knott Holt Tinsley (1801-1880). This portrait and a matching self-portrait of the artist (not shown here) are owned by CRM(1940-).
    (2) Above Idah is William's daughter Eliza Jane Tinsley (1837-1842). This portrait and one of William's infant grandson Frederick William "Freddie" Tinsley (1859-1861) (not shown here) are owned by JAM(1945-).
