Geographic levels in SEEDIS

In SEEDIS (Socio-Economic Environmental Demographic Information System) each database is available at one or more geographic levels of detail. Examples of SEEDIS geographic levels are STATE (states) COUNTY (1970 Census counties) and COUNTY80 (1980 Census counties). There are 110 different geographic levels defined in SEEDIS, including:

	nation and large interstate levels	11
	small interstate levels			20
	state parts of interstate levels	21
	state and large intrastate levels	19
	county levels				16
	place and MCD levels			10
	small subcounty levels			13

For each geographic level, this document lists:

Level: name of SEEDIS geographic level Geographic Level Description: identifies the agency who defined the geographic level
Year: year in which the geographic level was defined
Area Scope: geographic coverage of the geographic level definition
Units: number of geographic units in the Area Scope
MS: map style available in SEEDIS (p: shaded polygon, s: symbol at polygon centroid, -: no mapping)
