In late 1996, the SEEDIS software was installed on seedis.census.gov, a VAX at the Census Bureau. In early 1997, 40 GB of tar archives were transferred by FTP from LBNL MSS to the same computer.
In early 1997, command files are being constructed to install those data files in SEEDIS.
