Enoch³ (Samuel²) BARDWELL

Birthdate: 25 Feb 1722 (ref. 1); or 25 Feb 1721 (ref. 2); or 25 Feb 1721/2 (ref. 3).

Birthdate: 2 Jul 1725 (ref. 1); or 20 Jul 1724 (refs. 2,3).
Marriage to Hannah HAWKS: 26 Jan 1752 (ref. 1) or 26 Dec 1752 (refs. 2,3).
Death of Hannah HAWKS: 1 Jan 1799 (ref. 1) or 1 Jun 1799 (refs. 2,3).

Birthdate: 6 Nov 1726 (ref. 1); or 6 Nov 1725 (ref. 2); or "1725" (ref. 3).

Birthdate: 21 Jun 1727/28 (refs. 1 and 3); or 21 Jan 1728 (ref. 2).

Birthdate: 8 Mar 1730 (ref. 1); or 18 Mar 1729 (ref. 2); or 18 Mar 1729/30 (ref. 3).


Generation 4:

Gideon⁴ (Gideon³, Samuel²) BARDWELL

Birthdate of wife Keziah FOSTER: 10 Mar 1762 (ref. 1) or 10 Mar 1752 (ref. 2). Birthdate not given in ref. 3. Ref. 4 has two records, with birthdates 10 Mar 1752 and 10 Mar 1761.


Generation 5:

Sally⁵ (Gideon⁴ , Gideon³, Samuel²) BARDWELL

Ref. 1 lists a Sally b.abt.1779, d.23 Dec.1783; and a second Sally b. 6 May 1789, d. 23 Dec 1793. Refs. 2 and 3 list one Sally (or Sarah), b. 6 May 1789, d. 25 Dec. 1789. Ref. 4 lists a Sally b. 6 May 1789. Another Sally b. 1804 is not in doubt. Refs. 2, 3, and 4 are consistent with one another.


Generation 6:

Betsey⁶ Long (Joel⁵, Gideon⁴ , Gideon³, Samuel²) BARDWELL

Ref. 1 lists Betsey Long Bardwell b.1810 as the daughter of Joel BARDWELL's first wife Betsey LONG who died in 1807. This is obviously incorrect. Refs. 2, 3 and 4 list Betsey Long BARDWELL b.1810 as the daughter of Joel's second wife Lydia NEWHALL, whom he married in 1809.

 Joel⁶ Lincoln (Joel⁵, Gideon⁴ , Gideon³, Samuel²) BARDWELL

Birthdate: 17 Oct 1818 (refs. 1, 3 and 4) or 27 Oct 1819 (ref. 2). This Joel Lincoln died in 1822; a second Joel Lincoln was born 14 July 1822.
