If you know the location in the cemetery, first consult the section map to find the cemetery section number.  Then use the main index (below) to find the record(s) containing that cemetery section.

MAIN INDEX

 

The 147-page index, from June 2000, contains a alphabetic list of names by section number.  The 447-page book, from March 1999, lists complete inscriptions, by plot within section number.  Plot numbers are available from Snow's Landscaping in Greenfield, Massachusetts or (for older plots) from the Shelburne Historical Society.

UNMARKED GRAVES

 

Thirty-eight additional pages, July 2000, describe persons supposedly buried in Arms Cemetery, for whom no marker is present.  These pages include information from vital records, burial records, obituaries and other sources.

TECHNICAL NOTES

 

The book was scanned with an HP PhotoSmart C7280 All-in-One, using software supplied by the manufacturer.  The title page was scanned with the Picture Scan option, into GIF format, 200dpi, 256 colors.  All other pages were scanned with the Document Scan option, PDF (non-searchable) format, 300dpi, black and white.  Multiple pages were grouped into single pdf files; then the pages were rearranged with the use of  Adobe Acrobat 4.0.
