Mechanic Street


Arms Academy building, now the Museum of the Shelburne Historical Society. Built in 1880 as a private school funded by Ira Arms, a wealthy benefactor of the town. Located at the corner of Church and Maple Streets.

22 Mechanic Street The homestead of Moses W. Merrill (1817-1859) and his son Cordeanio H. Merrill (1840-1908). The property was purchased in 1997 by Cordeanio's great-grandson Deane W. Merrill Jr. (1938-) and established as Bear Haven Bed and Breakfast.
